Manila’s Hobbit House Bar

I’ve talked to people who’ve been to The Hobbit House Bar in Manila — the joint is owned and run by little people. Supposedly the atmosphere is not exploitative at all; they’ve apparently got good live music and tasty vittles. Next time I’m in the Philippines, it’s at the top of my to-do list.

I went to the hobbit house back in 1991 while serving in the airforce…usa…and had one of the best times in manila.. the people are friendly and inviting and i recomend anyone in manila to make it one of the first stops…cause u may want to go again.. so dont save it for the last night.. but dont over indulge.. or thats all youll do…didnt get any shot glasses or shirts.. wish i had.

Just heard about the Hobbit House thru Email from my former student (Francis Crescini) who performs live band at Hobbit House every Tuesday night. I’ll be in the Philippines next month and will certainly go see Hobbit House. Hyatt’s Regency Manila Calesa Music Bar is the only place I go see live music every time I’m in Manila but on my next trip, I’ll be at Hobbit House, indeed.
