In March, 2005, Jill and I took a two-week trip to Vietnam. We spent a few days in Hanoi and then rented a motorcycle. We put the bike (and ourselves) on an overnight train to Lao Cai. From there, we drove to Sapa and returned to Hanoi via Lai Chau, Tuan Giao, Son La, and Moc Chau. The drive took five days. Upon returning to Hanoi, we flew south to the beach resort town of Hoi An.
