Koh Phangan
I just got back to Bangkok after a few days at the beach — Koh Phangan, to be exact. Was there with my brother and his pal John, who are visiting Thailand from Korea. (You might recall these two from the notorious french fry-encrusted corn dogs incident in Seoul a couple months back).

Newley: Have you read “Beyond the Beach - An Ethnography of Modern Travellers in Asia” by Klaus Westerhausen? It was referenced in the Wikipedia entry on Full Moon Parties. Speaking of which, did the stars (and moon) align during your stay? Was the lunar orb waxing or waning? Regardless, any beach party with rum, Coke, and Red Bull served over ice in small buckets sounds like a special time. Beats a Theta semi-formal.
