David Moser’s “Why Chinese Is So Damn Hard” is an entertaining look at the difficulties native English speakers face in studying what he calls the world’s hardest language to master. I can certainly say, from my own experience, that trying to wrap my head around Chinese was far and away the most difficult intellectual challege of my life.
